The treatment of rising damp typically involves the installation of chemical damp proof course.
The Building Centre use a product called DRYZONE which is a specially formulated chemical cream. The use of this very affective cream eliminates all the smell and most of the mess when using the traditional chemical damp proof course which is injected under pressure.
It may also be recommended that the existing plaster is removed and new render/plaster be installed, normally about 1 meter above floor level, using either a water radiant called BOND-AID or and a salt retardant additive called RENDER GUARD GOLD followed by a finish coat of plaster.
